  • "I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the standard of craftsmanship your contractors displayed on the fitting out of the cladding on the boathouse wall at the rear of the Hovercraft bay. Not only did they retro –fit the cladding, they also gave our internal doors a fresh coat of paint and their work has really made the place shine. Keeping these surfaces clean is going to be a lot easier and this area is often the first thing visitors see so this is very important to us. Please pass on our thanks to Gary & Steve of Vision Interior Projects Ltd for a great job well done."

Guildhall Andover

In March 2014, Vision Interior Projects went to the Grade II* Listed building, The Guildhall at Andover after successfully wining a tender for a refurbishment project. The contract comprised of repairs to the plaster work upgrades to the toilets and decoration to both internal and external areas. The project had to be carried out in strict accordance with best conservation practice, the relevant British standard codes of practice and should we have to deviate from the schedule of works / drawings then this had to be first approved by the Supervising officer prior to commencing any works. It was also imperative that Vision Interior Projects removed little or none of the building fabric and all areas had to be well protected during the course of the project.

To compound matters it was also advised that Lead paints had been used in the past along with horse hair plaster; this meant that the upmost care was taken with the preparation of the paint work, this required Vision Interior Projects to employ a traditional plasterer to undertake the plastering repairs. Most of the refurbishment works were decoration, however a new kitchen and toilets were installed, Sash windows repaired and made operational, again by ensuring new weights, pulleys and cords installed.
The completed contract took only four weeks to complete, the building was handed back on time whilst managing to complete over twenty variations to the project.

Andover's Guildhall, built in 1825, has splendid Georgian architecture on the exterior and an equally impressive interior. The Building is owned and run by Test Valley Borough Council who hire out the Guildhall for many functions such as business meetings, weddings and charity events.
