  • "I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the standard of craftsmanship your contractors displayed on the fitting out of the cladding on the boathouse wall at the rear of the Hovercraft bay. Not only did they retro –fit the cladding, they also gave our internal doors a fresh coat of paint and their work has really made the place shine. Keeping these surfaces clean is going to be a lot easier and this area is often the first thing visitors see so this is very important to us. Please pass on our thanks to Gary & Steve of Vision Interior Projects Ltd for a great job well done."

Oracle London – Ceiling Works

November saw Vision Interior Projects undertaking works to The Oracle Corporation office in Moorgate, London.
Our client requested us to attend site to see how we could assist with maintenance works required to the fan coil units located within the ceiling void in some of their meeting rooms.

During our site visit it was highlighted that the works were required to be carried out, out of hours so not to interrupt our clients working hours. We had to liaise with the M&E Company to ensure they had access to inspect and repair faulty fan coil units.
In order to gain access we have to create an opening between the existing lights where the fan coil units were located, once repaired we closed the ceiling and after applying a Tape & Joint finish we decorated the whole ceilings complete.
All the above works were completed in three stages over weekends.
Whilst working closely with other companies on site all works were completed on time and to the complete satisfaction of the client.

Oracle, Reading – Toilet Refurbishment

For more than three and a half decades, Oracle has been the leader in database software. And as it has further developed technologies and acquired best-in-class companies over the years, that leadership has expanded to the entire technology stack, from servers and storage, to database and middleware, through applications and into the cloud.

Oracle head office is in Thames Valley Park Reading and houses over five buildings that are undergoing a toilet refurbishment program with regard to the type of taps and flush systems within the cubicles and urinal’s.The brief as explained by Norlands (service providers to the client) was to reduce the amount of water used whilst ensuring a cleaner environment by incorporating the use of sensor taps and flushing to the toilets.Vision Interior Projects were successful with their tender and works commenced at the beginning of September. There are sixteen toilets within the first building that was started which equates to some sixty four number taps to the wash hand basins and sixty four flush units to the cubicles to be replaced. As the building is in occupation the works were required to be done over weekends. The work’s by Vision Interior Projects included alterations to main incoming supply, new fused spurs for each tap and flush sensor, complete replacement of concealed WC cisterns and new flush pipes.
It was also highlighted that the mirror service door behind the taps would infringe on the new taps as they were 75mm higher so some sixteen new mirrored service doors were manufactured and installed at the same time.
The works are on-going at Oracle and are due to be completed by the end of October.

Oracle TVP, Reading- Speed Humps

Speed HumpsVision Interior Projects were called into the Oracle at Thames Valley Park, Reading to replace the existing speed humps (sleeping policemen) to the main entrance.
The existing speed humps were too high for the new low entry buses being delivered within the next four weeks our quick response enabled the works to proceed and meet our client's requirements.
This would involve planning off the top layers of tarmac from the existing speed humps and relocating the open drains adjacent to them, to enable us to extend the speed humps giving a lower gradient on approach.
Once we removed the surface we then built up either side of the humps and relayed new tarmac to the reduced levels and falls as required by the client to allow the new buses clearance as they crossed. The drains were relocated in their new positions level with the new surface and the entrance was re-lined with thermoplastic line markings.
The works were carried out mainly out of hours so not to cause any disruption to the coming and goings of the staff using the main entrance to the site. We completed the works on the Sunday ready for the buses to use the road with the new speed humps in place without scrapping the underside of the carriages. The works were completed on time, within the client’s budget and the buses are now using the road, crossing the speed humps with no problems and we believe they are running on time.
